Even though the RTX Dualphone (formally called Olympia Dualphone) is one of the longest running Skype phones around, it still sets the benchmark for Skype and Dualphone DECT technology. Specifically designed for use with Skype and as such is Skype Certified, it really is a dream to use and integrates seamlessly with the Skype application.

The Dualphone Skype phone really opens up the Skype application by having a built in screen to display your Skype contacts, allowing you to use Skype away from your computer, just select your friend that’s online - only online friends are displayed otherwise it can be a pain to scroll through all your mates, if you have got tons (like me!) but you can skip to the relevant letter by just hitting a character key.

Why have two phones? The Dualphone completely replaces your existing PSTN line as well as being your Skype phone, just hit the PC dial button to call through Skype or the normal dial button to call over your existing BT landline. This is also true to incoming calls, it receives both, distinguished by a separate ring tone.
The Dualphone uses standard DECT technology and is available with extra handsets, you can run up to 3 extra handsets with the standard phone and can transfer PSTN and Skype calls between the different handsets. What’s really cool is if one handset is on a PSTN call you can still use another handset to make a Skype call. Each handset also comes with a mini-jack for use with a handsfree headset, available below:
